LSU Vs. Kentucky Final: Wildcats Advance Past Tigers In SEC Tournament

The Kentucky Wildcats pulled away from the LSU Tigers in the second half, after a close-fought start to the game. The Wildcats defeated the Tigers, 60-51 on Thursday at the New Orleans Arena.

Kentucky led narrowly at halftime, 25-24, but LSU only shot 28.6 percent from the field on the day, compared to the Wildcat's 41 percent performance.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist led all scorers with 19 points, which included nine free throws. Kidd-Glichrist also pulled down 10 rebounds. Terence Jones added 15 points for Kentucky. Anthony Davis recorded his usual double-double with 12 points and a game-high 14 rebounds.

Kentucky held a significant advantage at the free throw line, taking a total of 34 compared to the 10 LSU took. Storm Warren led Tigers in scoring with 14 points, while three other Tigers contributed double figures.
