Mark Richt Responds To Steve Spurrier Comments

Steve Spurrier took an opportunity on Thursday to fire a shot in the direction of Mark Richt and the Georgia Footballprogram. Spurrier when asked about the UGA-South Carolina game being moved to October responded that he liked playing Georgia early because they usually had one or more players suspended. After practice on Thursday Mark Richt got his chance to respond and he did so in typical Mark Richt fashion.

"How about that?" he said. "I think that's funny. That sounds like Steve."

Richt hardly ever stirs up controversy with any comments so it wasn't a big surprise that he laughed off Spurrier's comments. Georgia will play South Carolina on October 6 in 2012 after primarily playing them either first or second for the last several years.

A number of Bulldogs are already facing suspensions to open the season. The team already announced that Sanders Commings is suspended for the first two games of the season and Brandan Smith, Bacarri Rambo and Alec Ogletree are all reportedly facing suspensions but they have yet to be confirmed by the school.
