Georgia Basketball Recruiting: Tony Parker To Announce Decision April 11

Miller Grove product Tony Parker is expected to announce his college decision on April 11 but there is still no indication of where the heralded big man might end up.

Parker's list includes many of college basketball's heavyweights like Duke, Ohio State, Kansas, Memphis, UCLA, Memphis and Georgia. Wait what? Georgia? Yes that is the same Athens Bulldogs that are still in the running for Parker thanks in part to a big effort from head coach Mark Fox and the proximity of the UGA campus to his home.

UGA may be nothing more than a dark horse candidate at this point but Parker is the kind of recruit that could put a team like Georgia on the college basketball map and cement Mark Fox's place in Georgia Basketball history.

Fox recruited the team's first McDonald's All-American since the early 90's last season as Kentavious Caldwell-Pope picked the Bulldogs early in the recruiting process and stuck with them. Parker would be among the biggest recruits and particularly the best big man to ever sign with the program.
