Mark Richt wasn't willing to comment on Tuesday at the Pigskin Preview in Macon, Georgia about any potential suspensions that some of his key defensive players are facing.
"We're not ready to say anything publicly," Richt said. "But I guess that's all I'll say."
Cornerback Sanders Commings has already had his two game suspension announced by the school. There has been no further word on potential suspensions for Branden Smith, Bacarri Rambo and Alec Ogletree. Smith is expected to get a one-game ban for a marijuana charge but Rambo is facing as much a four-game stint for a alleged failed drug test.
If any or all of the suspensions hold true then Georgia will be forced to mix and match in its defensive secondary for the first part of its schedule. The Bulldogs open up the season with Buffalo and then travel to Missouri to take on the Tigers in their first conference game as a member of the SEC.
