Derrick Henry Decommits From Georgia After Visiting Alabama

Running back Derrick Henry at one point was committed to the University of Georgia. Please note the past tense, as Henry has decided to decommit from Georgia after visiting good old Nick Saban and the University of Alabama.

Last week, SB Nation's recruiting analyst Bud Elliot said this of Henry:

Henry seems dead set on playing running back, so any school looking to sway him from Georgia must convince him that it wants him at running back and will not move him to tight end or defense.

Henry is a consensus four-star recruit and one of the top athletes in the country. With Alabama and Georgia firmly in the mix to land the top class in the country, Henry's commitment could be the difference on National Signing Day.

As Jason Kirk pointed out, Henry hasn't formally announced that he'll attend Alabama, but it looks like an increasingly likely event.
