Isaiah Crowell Arrest: Keith Marshall, Todd Gurley Ready To Step Up

With Isaiah Crowell's status in jeopardy the importance of incoming freshman Keith Marshall and Todd Gurley goes up a notch or two. Ken Malcome emerged from spring practice listed as the co-starter but both Marshall and Gurley figure to play a big part in the Bulldogs' backfield picture this fall.

Marshall enrolled early but was slowed in spring by a hamstring injury. Even though he missed the spring game the extra practice time should give him a head start heading into preseason practice. Marshall is a legit home run threat and was arguably the best back in the country last season.

Gurley brings more of a power running style similar to Crowell. Gurley doesn't have the breakaway speed that Marshall possesses but provides depth should an injury occur and could help give the Bulldogs a solid one-two punch down the road.

Both players figured to get a look and a shot at playing time with Crowell in the picture. Now it is even more likely.
