Details in the early morning arrest of Georgia running back Isaiah Crowell are slowly starting to emerge. Crowell was arrested at approximately 2:20 a.m. Friday morning at a vehicle checkpoint. Crowell's car was apparently searched after an officer detected the odor of marijuana.
Further details from police: Officer smelled marijuana coming from Crowell's car, but upon search no marijuana was found.

Although no drugs were found during the search it did reveal a handgun with an altered serial number under the drivers seat.

Crowell is facing immediate suspension from the University and as a repeat violator could be facing dismissal from the team. Neither the University nor Mark Richt has issued a statement as of yet.
