Georgia Coaches Discuss Isaiah Crowell, State Of Bulldogs

Georgia's coordinators met with the media on Friday to discuss the Bulldogs heading into preseason practices.

Former running back Isaiah Crowell was obviously a topic of discussion. Offensive coordinator Mike Bobo wasn't interested in speaking about Crowell directly, but did discuss the state of the running backs. The Athens Banner-Herald has all the details on the media briefing.

On the running backs:

"We do have two guys that have experience in this league in Richard Samuel who was productive when he was healthy last year," Bobo said. "Obviously he needs to stay healthy so he can be productive for us. I think Ken Malcome getting a lot of confidence last year playing and having some success and hopefully can improve on his success going into this year."

Along with personnel issues, defensive coordinator Todd Grantham did address his new title of associate head coach.

"As far as the new title, obviously I'm appreciative-and the salary ($825,000 per year) too for that matter-of president Adams, Mr. McGarity and coach Richt for allowing me to continue to be a part of this program and continue to move it forward to where we feel like we can go because there's a lot of tradition here at the University of Georgia, which is one of the reasons I wanted to come here. I think that we've really just scratched the surface on what we can do. "
