The watch list for the 2012 Butkus Award was announced on Monday and Georgia's Jarvis Jones and Cornelius Washington are among those who will be considered for the award.

Jones, a transfer from USC who sat out the 2010 season, recorded 70 tackles and 13.5 sacks in his first season as a Bulldog. He was a finalist for the Butkus Award last season and was named a First-Team All-American.

Washington was not a full-time starter last season but impressed enough to be added to the watch list. In 12 games, he had 17 tackles and five sacks. He is entering his senior season.

No Georgia Bulldog has ever been the winner of the Butkus Award. Last season it was awarded to Luke Kuechly of Boston College.
