2012 SEC Media Days: James Franklin Says No Bad Blood With Georgia

Vanderbilt head coach James Franklin was asked about the perceived bad blood between his program and Georgia during his session at SEC Media Days on Tuesday. If you remember Franklin and Bulldogs defensive coordinator Todd Grantham had to be restrained following Georgia's win in Nashville last year. Franklin however didn't take the bait and insisted there was no bad blood between his school and any other.

"We have tremendous respect for all the programs in the conference, all the coaches, all the players," Franklin said. "Our focus is on South Carolina. That's who we're opening the season with and that's all we're really going to talk about.

"I will tell you this: You play Vanderbilt, you better be ready to play from the beginning of the game to the end. That's whoever it is."

No doubt Franklin is changing the culture associated with the Commodores football program and the matchup in Athens this season will have all sorts of subplots to have fun with.
