Mark Richt Denies That Georgia Is Looking At Any Penn State Players

With Penn State players able to transfer immediately and without penalties there are many schools looking to bulk up their roster by going after the Penn State roster. Georgia Bulldogs head coach Mark Richt indicated a few days ago that he was interested in seeing if Penn State players were interested in Georgia.

There is even more evidence of Rich wanting to inquire about Penn State players as Dawgs247 obtained the name of players that Georgia were looking at through an open records request.

Here is the list of 19 players:

CB Adrian Amos (Soph.)
DE Deion Barnes (R-Fr.)
WR Justin Brown (Sr.)
CB DaQuan Davis (Fr.)
DB Jake Fagnano (Sr.)
LB Khairi Fortt (Jr.)
DL Jordan Hill (Sr.)
LB Gerald Hodges (Sr.)
DL DeQuan Jones (Jr.)
WR Eugene Lewis (Fr.)
OL Angelo Mangiro (R-Fr.)
DE Pete Massaro (Sr.)
LB Michael Mauti (Sr.)
DL Jamil Pollard (Fr.)
RB Silas Redd (Jr.)
OL Donovan Smith (R-Fr.)
C Matt Stankiewitch (Sr.)
WR Trevor Williams (Fr.)
RB Michael Zordich (Sr.)

As soon as the list was published, Georgia head coach Mark Richt came out and said that they are not pursuing any Penn State players. The move by Georgia could have just been something they sent to Penn State to see if there was any mutual interest in players heading to Georgia.
