Whatever happens legally to former Georgia RB Isaiah Crowell, he won't be able to say he didn't get adequate representation.
According to a report from the Athens Banner-Herald, Crowell is being represented by Steve Sadow, one of the most high-profile criminal defense lawyers in the state. Sadow has defended several Georgia football players, as well as one of the co-defendants in the Ray Lewis murder trial and the rapper T.I.
Crowell's best chance would be to challenge the constitutionality of the search that found the unlicensed weapon in his car, but if he consented to the search, that may be difficult to pull off.
As a result, Sadow may try to use his connections in the judicial system to see if the local DA's are willing to give his star defendant some leeway, as prosecutors have significant discretion in terms of what crimes they charge defendants with.
