Georgia Football Preseason: Malcolm Mitchell Impressing With Play At Corner

Count safety Shawn Williams among those impressed by Malcolm Mitchell's performance at cornerback. According to Williams, Mitchell has the total package of size and speed with the ability to be physical at the line but the speed to take plenty of chances in coverage.

"Because he's big, he's physical, he has those long arms, and he's really fast. You can't run by him," Williams said. "And he's gonna be sitting there at the line and pressuring you all day. So he's a real good corner."

Mitchell figures to spend much more time on the defensive side of the ball at least through the first two games of the season while Sanders Commings serves his two game suspension. After that the lobbying between the offensive and defensive coaches should increase.
