Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Aaron Murray has been called a nerd, but his bookish preparations are clearly paying dividends.
Not only is his team undefeated and ranked fourth in the country, but Murray is on track to become Georgia's all-time touchdowns leader. He is just four touchdowns shy of David Greene's record of 72.
For Chip Towers of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Murray's devotion to studying has been just as important as his myriad physical talents.
Coach Mark Richt agrees, adding,
"Aaron just prepares really like no one we've had. ... And we've had guys that work hard. All of our guys work hard at preparing, but Murray just takes it to another level in how he prepares for the game."
So far this season, Murray has already passed for 1,092 yards and 10 touchdowns, with just two interceptions. The Georgia offense leads the SEC in points per game (47.5) and total yards per game (530).
