Georgia Football Recruiting: Bulldogs reach early enrollee limit

The Georgia Bulldogs could have as many as 17 members of their 2013 signing class taking classes as early as Jan. 6, the start of Georgia's spring semester, according to Michael Carvell of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Only 10 of those early enrollees will be counted towards last year's scholarship numbers in order for the Bulldogs to circumvent a 25-man annual limit on recruiting.

The Bulldogs had only two players enroll early two years ago and three last year. Having 10 players enroll early will help the Bulldogs make up the loss of players to graduation, the NFL or transfers. One player in particular that the Bulldogs are glad is enrolling early is quarterback Brice Ramsey of Camden County High School. Part of why the Bulldogs are so glad about that is because the playbook he has to study can be really complicated:

"The big advantage for me is learning the playbook," Ramsey said. "And I'll be able to get in there in the spring and get some reps. That's going to help me out a lot."

One player, linebacker Ryne Rankin has already been cleared to practice while another 10 are in the student directory, a sign that they have been approved by the admissions department. Six others will have to wait and see if they can start at school early in the next 12 days:
