The Georgia Bulldogs have their work cut out for them in what is now a 14-team conference. The team was picked to finish eighth in the league's preseason poll.
Coming off of a national championship, Kentucky is the favorite to win the conference, followed by Florida and SEC newcomer Missouri.
The other team new to the conference, Texas A&M, is picked to finish just behind Georgia in ninth.
As for the individual accolades, Bulldogs sophomore guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope was picked for the second team All-SEC. A season ago, he averaged 13.2 points and 5.2 rebounds per game.
The preseason player of the year honor went to Missouri's Phil Pressey.
Georgia is coming off a disappointing 15-17 season. It was a year that showed promise, though, as the Bulldogs knocked off two ranked teams, Mississippi State and Florida, over the course of the season's final month.
Head coach Mark Fox is entering his third season with the team and took it to the NCAA tournament once.
