The Georgia Lady Bulldogs built a 22-point lead against TCU on Wednesday night and withstood a rally by the Horned Frogs to win, 72-59. The victory improved UGA's record to 12-0, which is the sixth-best start in school history.

Jasmine Hassell and Anne Marie Armstrong led the Lady Bulldogs with 14 points apiece, and Erika Ford scored 13 off the bench. Georgia shot 45.2 percent as a team and hit six of 17 three-point attempts. Georgia also won the rebounding and turnover battles.

TCU got 19 points and six rebounds from Natalie Ventress, and Donielle Breaux scored 14, though she hit just four of 11 shots from the field. TCU shot 40 percent and turned the ball over 21 times.

The Lady Bulldogs return to the court Dec. 28 for a road game at Illinois, and then they will begin SEC play with a home game against Missouri, followed by a trip to Tennessee.
