2012 SEC football standings: Florida, Alabama top league

Three SEC teams are still undefeated.

Kevin C. Cox

The Florida Gators lead the SEC East with a 6-0 league record, and the Alabama Crimson Tide top the West with a 4-0 conference record. Mississippi State, which sits in second place behind Alabama in the West, is the league's only other undefeated team.

The Georgia Bulldogs are in second in the East at 4-1, and they could control their own destiny by beating Florida this Saturday. The Bulldogs lost to South Carolina earlier in the year, but the Gamecocks already have two conference losses.

Vanderbilt is fourth in the East at 2-3, while Tennessee, Missouri and Kentucky remain winless.

The other league showdown this weekend is between Alabama and Mississippi State -- the winner of that game will be in control of the West. Beyond those two, the LSU Tigers are third in the West at 3-1, followed by Texas A&M and Arkansas, who are 2-2. Ole Miss and Auburn are sixth and seventh.
