Abry Jones injury: Bulldogs DE looking doubtful for Saturday

Jones suffered an ankle injury against Kentucky.

Georgia Bulldogs defensive end Abry Jones probably will not play against the Florida Gators this weekend, according to head coach Mark Richt. "Right now, he's out and we're going to learn a little bit more tomorrow when he sees some doctors," Richt said Sunday night. "At this minute I would say there's a good chance he'll be out."

Jones suffered an ankle injury in the first quarter of Georgia's 29-24 win over Kentucky on Saturday. It was the same ankle Jones sprained earlier in the season, though Richt said this latest setback was a different sort of injury.

Jones has 17 tackles this season, including one for a loss. He started all 14 games for the Bulldogs in 2011 and finished the season with 48 tackles, including four sacks.

The stakes for Georgia are high this weekend, as a win over the Gators would put the Bulldogs in control of the SEC East. A loss would clinch the division for Florida.
