The No. 6 Georgia Bulldogs hope to avoid a letdown after their emotional win over Florida when the Ole Miss Rebels visit Sanford Stadium this Saturday afternoon.
Georgia (7-1, 5-1 SEC) put forth a dominant defensive effort against Florida in their annual game in Jacksonville, winning 17-9. Linebacker Jarvis Jones returned from injury and wrecked havoc on the Gators' offense, piling up 12 tackles (11 solo) and two sacks.
The performance of the defense against Florida was a sight for sore eyes for Georgia fans, as the Bulldogs had been scuffling on that side of the ball. In the previous three games, the Bulldogs gave up 34.3 points per game.
Ole Miss (5-3, 2-2 SEC) is coming into Saturday's game off a thrilling 30-27 road win over the Arkansas Razorbacks. The Rebels won on a last-second field goal by Bryson Rose.
Ole Miss' offense has had some success this season, as they are putting up 32.4 points per game. The Rebels' defense has struggled at times, giving up 26.6 points per game.
Kick-off for Georgia and Ole Miss is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET.
