The Georgia Bulldogs should be concerned with South Carolina Gamecocks quarterback Connor Shaw, points out Seth Emerson at the Macon Telegraph. Shaw's 78.1 percent completion rate isn't his only threat, as he also has the ability to make plays on the ground.
Shaw has made fewer than 10 run attempts in only one of the four games he's playing in 2012, rushing just five times against UAB in the Gamecocks' 49-6 win. He's made more than a dozen attempts in each of his three other games, averaging 69.7 yards per game.
The Bulldogs cite their experience with former Gamecocks quarterback Stephen Garcia, but say that Shaw is a faster runner than Garcia. Garcia was held to 7 net yards in his junior and senior games against the Bulldogs, according to cfbstats.com. They've also faced a mobile quarterback in Missouri's James Franklin, who gained only 25 yards on 20 carries in a game won by the Bulldogs, 41-20.
