College football schedule 2012: Georgia hopes to build on momentum

The Georgia Bulldogs now control their fate in the SEC East as they look for a win against Ole Miss on Saturday.

Kevin Liles-US PRESSWIRE

With their impressive 17-9 victory over the Florida Gators on Oct. 27 the Georgia Bulldogs now are control their own destiny in the SEC East. If Georgia (7-1, 5-1 SEC) can top Ole Miss (5-3, 2-2) on Saturday and beat Auburn (1-7, 0-6) on Nov. 10, it will punch its ticket to the SEC championship game. Ole Miss is coming off back-to-back wins over Auburn and Arkansas, but has not beaten a ranked team this season.

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (3-5, 2-3 ACC) have lost four of their last five and look to get back to .500 in the ACC with a win on Saturday over the Maryland Terrapins (4-4, 2-2). Georgia Tech is looking for its first road win of the season as well against a Maryland team that has dropped back-to-back contests.
