The Georgia Bulldogs are trying to stay undefeated when they face South Carolina this weekend, and they're also trying to avoid a three-game losing streak to the Gamecocks. If South Carolina were to win, it would be the first three-game winning streak the school has ever had over Georgia. Bulldogs head coach Mark Richt has been talking about that piece of history with his team:
"We don't like to make history in a negative way. It would be the first time in the history of the school that has happened, so we definitely don't want to be on that end of the historical event."
The losing streak aside, Georgia has a 46-16-2 advantage in the all-time series against the Gamecocks.
South Carolina opened as a two-point favorite in this matchup. Both teams are off to 5-0 starts and have won their first three conference games. Those starts have both schools ranked in the AP Poll's top 10.
