Georgia wide receiver Tarvarres King traded his No. 12 jersey for Marlon Brown's No. 15 on Saturday in order to honor his friend who suffered a season-ending ACL injury in a 38-10 win over Ole Miss on Nov. 3.
The Bulldogs defeated Auburn 38-0 in their first game without Brown, who has 27 receptions for 469 yards and four touchdowns this season but will miss the remainder of the year due to the injury.
King had three receptions for 73 yards and a touchdown against the Tigers and hopes that he honored Brown well because both he and the team care about him deeply.
Chris Conley started in place of Brown and had four receptions for 32 yards and a touchdown against Auburn.
Aaron Murray was 18-of-24 passing for 208 yards and three touchdowns on Saturday. Six different receivers had receptions for Murray, including a season-high five by tight ends Jay Rome and Arthur Lynch.
