Ole Miss vs. Georgia Reaction: Bulldogs lack style in victory

Georgia is one win away from clinching a birth in the SEC Championship game.

Daniel Shirey-US PRESSWIRE

Georgia recovered from a poor first half against Ole Miss and dominated the third and fourth quarters to secure a 37-10 win over the Rebels on Saturday, which leaves the Bulldogs just one win away from clinching their second consecutive birth in the SEC Championship game.

CockNfire from Team Speed Kills summarized Georgia's win:

Not that the style points are all that important. Georgia is on the cusp of winning the SEC East, and that's really all that matters. And if they win next week at Auburn, no lack of style points will keep anyone from calling them division champions.

The Bulldogs fell behind 10-0 in the game early and gave up five first half sacks to Ole Miss to keep the game close, but outscored the Rebels 23-0 in the second half to secure the win.

Georgia will play at Auburn next Saturday for a chance to clinch a birth in the title game. Auburn is 2-7 and 0-6 in conference play.

At 6-1 in conference play, Georgia is tied with Florida for the top spot in the SEC East and owns the tiebreaker with the Gators after they defeated them 17-9 on Oct. 27.
