Georgia Bulldogs right guard Chris Burnette missed his third straight practice and will not start against the Auburn Tigers. Head coach Mark Richt did not rule the junior out for Saturday, and he will travel with the team and dress for the game.
Burnette will likely end his streak of 19 consecutive starts for the Bulldogs. He was injured in the first half of the Georgia's win over the Mississippi Rebels. He left the game in the first half after suffering a contusion to his left shoulder and had his arm in a sling after the game.
The Auburn defense is not the most fearsome opponent for the Bulldogs' offensive line. The 2-7 Tigers are giving up an average of 27.3 points and average only two sacks per game. With a win against Auburn the Bulldogs will finish the season 7-1 in the SEC. With their head-to-head win over the Florida Gators, that record would give the Bulldogs the SEC East title.
