Georgia Bulldogs linebacker Jarvis Jones has been named a first-team AP All-American for the second straight season, according to a tweet by Seth Emerson.
Despite missing a pair of games, Jones has had 77 total tackles, 47 solo along with 22.5 for loss during the 2012 regular season. He has also recorded 12.5 sacks along with 19 QB hurries, seven forced fumbles and an interception.
Jones was named to the All-American team last year with 70 total tackles, 39 solo with 19.5 for loss. Jones also recorded 13.5 sacks and forced two fumbles in 2011.
The Bulldogs right now are preparing for the 2013 Capital One Bowl against the Nebraska Cornhuskers. The game is scheduled for New Year's Day at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Fla. The game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. kickoff and the game will be broadcast nationally on ABC. The radio broadcast of the game will be on the Bulldog Radio Network.
