2013 Capital One Bowl: Georgia to take on Nebraska

After falling just short of going to the BCS title game, the Georgia Bulldogs will face the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the Capital One Bowl on New Years Day.

The Georgia Bulldogs, who came within a few seconds of possibly going to the BCS Championship Game, will instead head to Orlando to play in the Capital One Bowl. They'll face the Nebraska Cornhuskers from the Big Ten, who were crushed by Wisconsin in the Big Ten title game on Saturday night. The Dawgs and Huskers will face off at 1 p.m. ET on New Years Day.

The Capital One Bowl is the second tie in for both the SEC and Big Ten, after the BCS spots are filled. Alabama and Florida took the two BCS spots from the SEC, so the Dawgs fell down to the Capital One Bowl. They last appeared in this bowl in 2008, when they beat Michigan State 24-12. Between the Capital One Bowl and it's two previous iterations, the Citrus Bowl and Tangerine Bowl, the Bulldogs are 3-1-1 in their five all-time appearances.

This will be the second straight year that Nebraska has played in the Capital One Bowl. They lost 30-13 to South Carolina last year.
