Georgia Bulldogs freshmen Todd Gurley and John Theus were voted to the SEC Coaches' All-Freshman Team on Thursday.
Gurley has been magnificent this season as Georgia's starting running back. The freshman has rushed for 1,260 yards and 16 touchdowns on the year, good for second in the SEC in rushing yards per game and second in scoring. By going over 1,000 yards in his true freshman campaign, Gurley joined Herschel Walker as the only other Bulldog to achieve the feat.
Meanwhile, Theus has started all 13 games at tackle this season. He has helped anchor a line that not only was a major factor in Gurley's success, but kept star quarterback Aaron Murray mostly upright the entire season. The Bulldogs have put up 184.2 rushing yards per game on the season and Murray ranks top-five in the SEC in total offense. Theus is the first true freshman at Georgia to start at tackle since Trinton Sturdivant in 2007.
