Georgia State Vs. Campbell Final Score: Panthers Hold On 42-35 To Close Season

Georgia State dominated offensively through three first three quarters and recovered a total of three onside kicks in the fourth to seal a victory in their final game of 2011, finishing up 3-8.

Head coach Bill Curry summed up the win and giving insight on just how much this program has to grow:

"What we pushed with our team was, we've got one more chance to show what we're made of and in many ways we did that today.  We still have light years to go."

Led by QB Kelton Hill, the Panthers racked up 514 offensive yards. Hill threw for 213 yards and ran for another 141, accounting for 5 touchdowns on the day. The Panthers celebrated Senior Day with 20 Seniors taking to the Georgia Dome floor.

The Panthers finished the year with a disappointing mark, but will return 12 starters from this 2011 unit for spring practice beginning in March. Georgia State already has 16 verbal commitments for 2012 recruiting class and will begin hosting official visitors next week.
