The Georgia Southern Eagles didn't overstay their welcome in Columbia, dropping their loser's bracket matchup 5-2 against the N.C. State Wolfpack to exit the 2011 College World Series bracket. The Pack will advance to face the Stetson Hatters, who were trounced 11-5 by the hosting South Carolina Gamecocks, for the right to face the defending champs Sunday night.
Stetson was able to take an extra-innings victory from N.C. State in their Round 1 contest, while GSU chased its SoCon championship with a single-run loss against Carolina.
