NCAA Baseball Regionals: South Carolina Vs. Stetson After Hatters Top N.C. State

The Stetson Hatters will get a second chance to take down the South Carolina Gamecocks for a trip to the 2011 NCAA baseball championship's Super Regionals round. The pride of the Atlantic Sun made the N.C. State Wolfpack the first ACC team to exit the bracket, topping the Pack 5-3 thanks to 3.2 innings of scorelss work by Tucker Donahue and three trips to first base by center fielder Spencer Theisen.

In their first meeting, the Cocks blasted Stetson 11-5. With a victory, Carolina will advance to host whoever makes it out of the Clemson Regional. But if Stetson can pull off the upset, they'll need to do it again Sunday night. Two victories by the Hatters would likely send them off to face the Clemson Tigers.
