Both Georgia and Georgia Tech are off this weekend after dropping their games last Saturday. The Bulldogs fell, 35-7, to South Carolina, while the Yellow Jackets lost, 47-31, to Clemson.
Georgia travels to Kentucky next Saturday, and Georgia Tech hosts Boston College.
The two local FCS teams are in action this weekend, though. In a much-anticipated game in the Southern Conference, Georgia Southern will host Wofford. The two teams rank second and first in the conference, respectively. The winner of Saturday's game will stand atop the standings.
Meanwhile, Georgia State will be making a trip to Rhode Island. The game is important for opposite reasons as neither team has a win this season. The Panthers and Rams have combined for 11 losses in 2012 and sit at the bottom of the Colonial Athletic Association.
The full local college football schedule is below. All times listed are ET.
- Georgia State at Rhode Island, 1 p.m.
- Wofford at Georgia Southern, 6 p.m.
