The two top teams in the Southern Conference will battle on Saturday when Georgia Southern hosts Wofford. The Eagles are 4-1 in 2012, while the Terriers are 5-0.
A win for Georgia Southern would propel the Eagles into first place in the conference.
Defense has the Eagles in this position. Through five games this season, Georgia Southern has not allowed more than 23 points.
But Wofford's defense has been just as good. The Terriers have not allowed more than 24 points this season en route to their undefeated start.
Although Wofford has won its first three conference games, its hot start might be a bit deceiving. The Terriers have not played a team with a winning record this season.
The Eagles own the recent history, as they won the last two against Wofford, including the game last season, 31-10.
Kickoff in the battle for first place is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET.
