Georgia Southern fullback Dominique Swope is questionable for Saturday's game against Appalachian State with an undisclosed injury, according to the Statesboro Herald.
Swope also missed last weekend's 39-31 win against Chattanooga.
"We're not sure if he's going to be ready for Saturday," [GSU coach Jeff] Monken said on Monday after practice, which Swope attended but avoided contact. "We sure hope he is. We're going to take it day by day."
In seven games this season, Swope has rushed for 721 yards and 12 touchdowns on 131 carries. He's averaging 103 yards per game and 5.5 yards per carry.
Swope, a sophomore, rushed for 1,023 yards and seven touchdowns as a freshman last season. He also hauled in a receiving touchdown.
Swope is one of the leading rushers for an a 7-1 Eagles team. Georgia Southern is riding a six-game winning streak that started Sept. 22. The Eagles' only loss this season came against Citadel, 23-21, on Sept. 8.
Two weeks ago against Furman, Swope rushed for 67 yards on 14 carries. He also tacked on two rushing touchdowns in the second half. He rushed for a two-point conversion in the fourth quarter.
Georgia Southern is set to host Appalachian State at 2 p.m. Saturday.
