Georgia Southern will travel to Norfolk, Va. to take on Old Dominion in the quarterfinals of the FCS playoffs next weekend.
The Eagles are coming off a 24-16 win over Central Arkansas to advance to the next round. Old Dominion defeated Coastal Carolina, 63-35, to move into the quarterfinals.
On the other side of the bracket, No. 2 Eastern Washington will play Illinois State. Illinois State defeated Appalachian State, 38-37 in overtime, after they blocked an extra point attempt by the Mountaineers that would have tied the game and sent it to a second overtime period.
North Dakota State will take on Wofford in the quarterfinals after they dominated South Dakota State, 28-3, on Saturday. Wofford defeated New Hampshire, 23-7, to earn a meeting with the top-seeded team in the playoffs.
Montana State defeated Stony Brook, 16-10, to earn a meeting with Sam Houston State.
The FCS national championship game will take place on Jan. 5.
