The Georgia St. Panthers took care of business against Southern Polytechnic on Saturday afternoon, pulling away late for an 86-58 win. The win gets Georgia State over .500 for the season. R.J. Hunter led the Panthers with 21 points and seven rebounds.

The Panthers had little trouble building a comfortable lead early in the game. The teams were tied at 10 about five minutes into the first half, but Georgia State would not relinquish the lead for the rest of the game. Manny Atkins and Devonta White both chipped in with 16 points, and James Vincent had seven points and 12 rebounds.

Chase Robinson had 27 points for Southern Poly, and shot 6-12 from behind the three point line. However, the Hornet shot less than 35% from the floor, and were outrebounded by Georgia State by a 41-24 margin.

The Panthers don't play again for a week, but they travel to Troy to take on the Trojans next Saturday.
