Georgia State 2011 Schedule: Opener vs. Clark Atlanta, Texas Two Trip Highlight Schedule

Georgia State will open its season with a Thursday night season opener for the second time in two years, according to GSU Sports communications and announced by Director of Athletics Cheryl L. Levick and head football coach Bill Curry.

"The Thursday night home opener is a game we will schedule whenever
possible," said Levick. "Our team and fans love the big-game
atmosphere of a Thursday night at the Dome, and the opportunity to kick
off the college football season in Atlanta is great exposure."

"We’re pleased with the quality and variety of opponents, and the
structure of the schedule sets up well for our team and our fans,"
said Levick. "After such an overwhelmingly positive response to our
inaugural season, we can’t wait to kick off year two. Our attendance
and fan support have been tremendous, the Georgia Dome has been a
wonderful partner, and we look for continued growth in 2011."
