Per Michael Carvell of the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Georgia State football has offered a scholarship to versatile offensive lineman Joseph Scelfo of North Oconee HS.
Scelfo is a 6'2, 276lbs with good upper body strength and good technique. He played both guard positions and center at the high school level. He engages his blocker well and has very strong hands to finish blocks.
"Joseph is so focused. I have seen very few kids have the intensity and mentality that he has," said North Oconee coach Terry Tuley. "He's such a tough kid and he really enjoys contact and delivering the blow. Like all linemen he enjoys dominating his opponent."
Joseph is used to taking trips to the Georgia Dome as his father is Atlanta Falcons tight ends coach Chris Scelfo. He is also holding offers from Lousiana-Monroe, South Alabama, Syracuse, Tulane, UAB and Western Kentucky.
