2012 Georgia State Football Recruiting: Jake Ganus Snatches Offer

The Georgia State football coaching staff continues to comb the Southeast this Spring seeking to reload for 2012 and have reached into the state of Alabama for their latest offer.  Athlete Jake Ganus of Chelsea High School claims his first offer from the Panthers.

The 6'3, 190lbs athlete was utilized as a spread option quarterback and kick returner in 2010.  He accounted for 1673 yards  and 16 touchdowns through the air and 1055 yards rushing and 10 touchdowns on the ground.  As a Sophomore, Ganus played linebacker and made 92 tackles, one interception and blocked four kicks.

Ganus was born and grew up in Alpharetta and his family moved to the Birmingham suburb in 2008. He has attended camps at Southern Miss and Alabama where both of his older siblings are currently attending.  Ganus is likely being recruited as a defensive back on the college level but the Panthers could certainly use him in various packages including spread option quarterback.
