2012 Georgia State Football Recruiting: RB Shadrach Thornton Claims Offer

Georgia State football continues its march on in state prospects by offering running back Shadrach Thornton from Liberty County HS in Hinesville.

The 6'1, 205lbs power back has put up eye popping stats the last two seasons and will most certainly see an increase of BCS level offers this summer and through his senior season. Thornton is a very upright runner was has tremendous body strength at this point. Liberty County HS ran him in multiple sets in 2010 including I formation tailback, Triple Option B-Back and in the spread option as his HS team struggled mightily to throw the ball down the field in a disappointing 2-8 season.

Thornton also holds offers from NC State, Kentucky and Vanderbilt.  He has interest from Georgia Tech, Not only is he hearing from Georgia Tech, Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Nebraska, Notre Dame and Stanford.

The Georgia State coaching staff is expected to sign 15-18 players in the 2012 recruiting cycle.
