Georgia State came to Houston, Texas and got a full dose of the Case Keenum experience. One of the NCAA's all time passers had his way most of the night against the Panthers defense throwing for 415 yards and two touchdowns in three quarters of play as the Coogs rolled to a 56-0 victory.
The Panthers had little go well in the first half as they entered the locker room down 35-0. Keenum found eight different Cougar receivers en route to a huge passing day. Houston put up 732 offensive yards and could have likely scored more if not for Kevin Sumlin powering down the fast break offense.
Georgia State did not catching the passing fever as Kelton Hill, Bo Schlechter and Drew Little combined for 12/27 for 133 yards. The Panthers were without running back Donald Russell who was injured this week. The ground game could not get going on the night either as Georgia State managed 108 yards on 35 carries.
Georgia State has a BYE week this Saturday before facing Murray State at the Georgia Dome on October 8th.
