The Georgia St. Panthers will make their long-awaited Colonial Athletic Association debut on Sept. 22 against the Richmond Spiders at the Georgia Dome, following up games against a pair of FBS foes. The Sept. 8 date with the Tennessee Volunteers marks State's second game against a SEC school, while Larry Coker's UTSA will make its Georgia entry as a brand-new WAC school.
Festivities begin against South Carolina State, with that date depending on the Atlanta Falcons preseason schedule.

In 2011, the Panthers went 3-8, earning their first-ever losing season in their last year for the time being as an independent. They did, however, achieve a victory over South Alabama, another school heading for the FBS level this year.
