With Georgia State banned from the CAA tournament due to their impending departure for the Sun Belt conference, it will need an at-large bid to make the NCAA tournament in basketball. Although that will be a daunting task, head coach Ron Hunter is ready for the challenge.
I will not allow anyone or any decision to keep my program down. We will coach and play with an edge all season. Can't wait!!!

A season ago, Hunter led Georgia State to a 22-12 record. In 2012-13, the Panthers are once again expected to be a factor in the CAA. If the team wins the regular season title, it will be guaranteed an NIT birth.
Old Dominion, who is leaving for Conference USA, is also banned from postseason play in all sports.
