Georgia State no longer has to worry about a winless season after defeating Rhode Island last week, 41-7. The Panthers scored more points on Saturday than they had in their previous three weeks.
Up next is a far tougher task with a game against Villanova. The Wildcats are 3-1 in the Colonial Athletic Association and are just three seasons removed from an FCS title.
Dual-threat quarterback John Robertson is Villanova's most dangerous player. Last week against Old Dominion he tallied 151 passing yards, 189 rushing yards and three touchdowns.
Georgia State has its own talented runner in Donald Russell. Against Rhode Island last week, Russell ran for 201 yards and two touchdowns. He was part of the 274 rushing yards the Panthers had on Saturday.
A win against Villanova would leave Georgia State just one victory shy of last year's total of three. There are four games left on the Panthers schedule.
