The Georgia State Panthers face a tall task when the Old Dominion Monarchs visit the Georgia Dome this Saturday afternoon.
Georgia State enters the game 1-8 overall and 1-5 in the CAA, having lost most of their games by double-digits. However, the Panthers nearly pulled an improbable comeback against James Madison last weekend, cutting a 28-7 deficit to 28-21 before falling just short.
Old Dominion (7-1, 4-1 CAA) is one of three CAA teams with just one conference loss. The Monarchs eked out a 31-26 win over Delaware last weekend.
Old Dominion is led by sophomore quarterback Taylor Heinicke, who has been slinging the ball all over the field this season. Earlier this year, Heinicke threw for a Division I-record 730 yards in a win over New Hampshire. Stopping the Monarchs' high-powered passing attack will be extremely tough for Georgia State.
Game Time: 3:30 p.m. ET.
TV Schedule: None listed
Odds: Old Dominion is a 31-point favorite according to sportbet.com.
