Before the Georgia State Panthers make the move to the Sun Belt Conference next season, they play one more season in the Colonial Athletic Association. They open conference play on Wednesday night against the Drexel Dragons at home.
The Panthers enter this game coming off a 68-64 overtime loss to the Georgia Southern Eagles on Saturday. In the loss, the Panthers blew a 10-point lead with 1:55 left in the second half. The poor play down the stretch wasted the efforts of R.J. Hunter and Devonta White, who led the Panthers with 14 points each. Manny Atkins and James Vincent both added 11 points in the loss.
On the season, Hunter leads the Panthers with 15.5 points while White averages 14.6 points and Atkins averages 13 points. Wednesday's game will be played at the GSU Sports Arena in Atlanta. Tip is scheduled for 7 p.m. and radio coverage of the game will be on WRAS 88.5 FM.
