Stacey Poole could make Georgia Tech debut against Alabama State

Georgia Tech's Stacey Poole Jr. could make his Yellow Jackets debut on Monday against Alabama State after being cleared to play by the NCAA. Poole transferred to Georgia Tech from Kentucky at the start of the spring semester.

Poole, a 6'4 guard, played 16 games for John Calipari at Kentucky in 2009-10 before leaving the team. He has been practicing with the Yellow Jackets since Jan. 12 and could make a big impact for coach Brian Gregory. Poole was ranked as high as No. 33 by some national recruiting services.

Stacey's brother Solomon is also eligible to play against Alabama State. Solomon committed to Georgia Tech in November and decided to enroll early to get a jump start on his playing career. He began practicing on Saturday and was ranked as high as No. 14 in the country at his position.

It is currently unknown how the arrival of these new players will affect Gregory's rotation. The Yellow Jackets have gotten off to a strong start at 6-2, but they have struggled at times on offense.
