The Citadel vs. Georgia Tech preview: Yellow Jackets hope to extend home winning streak

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets shouldn't have much of a problem on Saturday against Citadel, which lost by 40 points to St. Bonaventure on Wednesday and only has one win over a D-1 team this season.

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will try to keep their undefeated home record intact on Saturday with the Citadel Bulldogs paying a visit McCamish Pavilion in Atlanta, Ga.

The Yellow Jackets (7-2, 5-0 at home) are coming off of a 75-41 victory over the Alabama State Hornets on Monday. Prior to that, Tech earned victories over Georgia and UNC Wilmington after a loss at No. 22 Illinois.

In the win over Alabama State, four Georgia Tech players scored in double figures including guard Mfon Udofia, who pitched in 12 points on 4-of-5 shooting from beyond the three-point line. On the season, the senior from Stone Mountain, Ga. is averaging 10.2 points per game on 53.2-percent shooting, including converting on 48.3 percent of his long distance attempts.

On the other side, Citadel has lost five straight games, and only has one win against a Division I team this season. They'll try to recover from a 40-point loss to St. Bonaventure on Wednesday. The Bulldogs are led by Mike Groselle, who is averaging 15.9 points and 8.3 rebounds per game.

Tip-off is slated for 4 p.m. ET, and will be available online at ESPN3.
