The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets got their ACC conference schedule started on a sour note on Saturday, dropping a game at home to the Miami Hurricanes, 62-49. The Yellow Jackets shot just better than 32 percent from the floor as a team, and a dismal 27 percent from three-point range. The loss snaps a six-game winning streak.
Kammeon Holsey and Mfon Udofia led Georgia Tech with 10 points each, and Daniel Miller finished with six points and seven rebounds. In addition to shooting the ball poorly, the Yellow Jackets also got pushed around on the glass, getting outrebounded 38-26.
Rion Brown led all scorers with 22 points, and shot 9-11 from the floor. Kenny Kadji had 11 points and 14 rebounds in support for the Hurricanes.
The Yellow Jackets have a tough test when they play again on Wednesday, when they travel to Raleigh to take on the North Carolina State Wolfpack.
